Phase 1: In the Trenches of Instrument Repair
Poseidon Scientific didn’t start in a boardroom; it started in the laboratory trenches. We began as a specialized team dedicated to the repair and maintenance of complex scientific instruments.
Years of disassembling, diagnosing, and fixing high-end analytical equipment gave us a perspective few manufacturers have: we know exactly where, why, and how components fail. This “under-the-hood” expertise became the foundation of everything we do today.
Phase 2: The Evolution of Proprietary R&D
We noticed a recurring frustration among our clients: the prohibitive cost of OEM replacement parts often sidelined great research. Leveraging our engineering background, we began developing our own high-performance components—such as our proprietary Vacuum Gauges and ION Sources.

Our journey took a significant leap forward through a strategic collaboration with our university alumni network. By combining our engineering rigor with their deep expertise in materials science, we entered the sample preparation market.
Our approach to Solid Phase Extraction (SPE) is driven by our unique philosophy: reducing dead volume, optimizing flow paths, and ensuring chemical consistency. We don’t just follow industry standards—we challenge them to improve experimental reproducibility.
